Live streaming from the town square and the town hall tower in Boskovice
Challenges and goals
The town of Boskovice was looking for an effective way to showcase its landmarks in a modern way while delivering real-time updates to its residents. The goal was to combine engaging video with practical information: interesting facts about historical sites, current time, temperature, and news from the town hall.
A key requirement was an operationally and cost-effective system that would provide a flawless image under any lighting conditions and stream directly to YouTube without the need to manage own server infrastructure.
Technical solution
For this project, NetRex installed two professional outdoor cameras from the Swedish manufacturer Axis Communications.
- AXIS P1475-LE: A highly durable camera designed for reliable 24/7 operation. Can handle heavy rain, strong winds, and sudden changes in light. It delivers a smooth, crystal-clear stream to YouTube, showing the town in its best light under any conditions.
- AXIS P1455-LE: A professional Full HD model that performs excellently even in low-light conditions. Thanks to its top-tier optics, it ensures perfectly sharp images with true-to-life colors, even with minimal street lighting.
Both cameras are connected to the network and licensed in the cloud using the NetRex Streamer service. This allows the live view to be streamed directly to the town of Boskovice’s YouTube channel. It runs continuously and automatically, without placing high demands on the town’s IT infrastructure.
Graphic overlay
The live streams are enhanced in real-time with dynamic graphic overlays.

The town’s or partner logos for sponsorship and the promotion of local organizations
Graphic labels describing the historical landmarks in the camera’s view
A scrolling text (info ticker) with the latest news from the town hall
