A Company Must Innovate, or Else It Will Stagnate

For the past half of the year, NetRex has been trying to adapt to the situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic like many others. Despite people working remotely for a time, we’ve managed not only to improve our services but also develop new projects and expand our team. David Capoušek, our CEO, is happy that his initial fears weren’t fulfilled. In his opinion, the future of NetRex depends on people and innovations.

In March, most stores got closed after the government declared a state of emergency. “I was afraid our customers will limit the usage of our surveillance solutions. But in the end, it wasn’t as dramatic. Some customers decreased the number of their cameras, but most of them still used our services to protect their facilities,” says David Capoušek.

However, this situation also brought new opportunities. We’ve decided to connect our existing NetRex solutions with CamStreamer, our sister company. Because of that, we’ve been able to offer products that will make these uncertain times easier for our customers.

We’ve developed the Store Occupancy Manager application which not only helps retailers limit the number of people in their stores, but also works as theft prevention, and can be used as a marketing tool. We’ve also offered easy livestreaming solutions via security cameras and CamStreamer apps to our customers in individual industry segments such as schools, churches, sports centers, etc.

“It was a response to a demand created by the state of emergency that arose not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad,” explains Capoušek.
